News: Malta: Annual Distributor Event
After 2 years what a way to bring back our annual distributor event – in the glorious location of Malta, in close proximity to the capital of Malta, Valetta.
Malta has a strong maritime heritage and is renowned for its undisturbed bays and secluded anchorages making it a perfect place for boat enthusiasts and boaters.
Thursday 9th June kicked off the 1st day of our event which involved presentations from distributors, Gougeon Brothers Inc. and the holders of the event Wessex Resins & Adhesives Ltd, European manufacturers of Entropy Resins®, WEST SYSTEM® and PRO-SET®. We had at the meeting, distributors from 16 European countries plus Turkey and of course the USA.
After some great insights throughout the day, it was onto the Gulet Harbour Tour which provided some great picturesque scenery over the port and Valetta, what a great sight! Such an exquisite way to explore the harbour of Valetta, as our skipper cut the throttle on the Gulet, we ghosted past a superyacht that utilsed PRO-SET epoxy for all of it’s free standing Carbon spars; SY Maltese Falcon, Sales Director David Johnson said “I looked up and the sky was alive with carbon fibre”.
The final day of the event didn’t disappoint with the first few hours starting with some further insights and valuable knowledge. It was then onto the Dockshop, our distributor in Malta, where a beautiful array of items were showcased by the talented Romina Vella. It was great to see the projects Romina has made with Entropy Resins®. With a quick stop there for lunch too, it was then onto the final meetings of the day.
To close the event, we visited restaurant Rampila, a restaurant situated in the historic bastions of Valetta, presenting a magical atmosphere with exquisite food!
A fantastic 2 days come to a close, but we look forward to 2023’s Distributor Meeting.
Sam Oliver, General Manager of Wessex Resins & Adhesives Ltd says “It was a fantastic opportunity to see all our family of distributors, some for the first time in 3 years. The 2 days flew past, with lots of sharing of ideas and celebrating successes during what’s been a challenging time for everyone. I am certainly looking forward to next years instalment already!”
