Projects: Stunning roof built for beach club on French Riviera
27th May 2020

This is the Palmier Club on the beach of Pampelonne in Saint-Tropez.

The roof’s built by Monfrino Marine Charpente (with products supplied by Directeck), it’s an incredible creation, stunning inside and out. Its design is said to be reminiscent of waves.  The bonded curved roof was made with WEST SYSTEM® 105 Epoxy Resin and 205 Fast Hardener. The finish is a white stain.

To create the roof, 6,000 pieces were cut. They made 100 curved pieces.

WEST SYSTEM 403 Microfibres were added to thicken the mixed epoxy to create a thickened adhesive mix. Six of them were bonded together at a time in a mould.

White caulking and white paint were used.

It’s a stunning project, in a stunning location.
