Artists: Decorative Christmas Tree Decorations

How to create festive tree decorations!

There is no better time to get crafty than to do so over the Christmas season! It’s a great time of the year for getting crafty and into the Christmas spirit.

If you are looking for your next craft project.. look no further, this is the one for you. For beginners and for advanced epoxy crafters! Let’s get crafting!

To get started this is what you will need:

  1. Entropy Resins CCR Resin
  2. Entropy Resins CCS Hardener
  3. Colour Tints (Don’t forget that extra sparkle too!)
  4. Festive ribbons / string to hang the tree decorations
  5. Silicone moulds (Matt or shiny)
  6. Epoxy stirrers
  7. Entropy Resins mixing bowl
  8. Safety glasses, and gloves.

Now you have everything you need, let’s make sure you have everything set up, time to lay everything out on a table so everything is easily accessible, and you are ready to get crafting! Make sure you have some protection between the table and the epoxy in case of any spillages, so it’s worth using a table cover if you feel the need to.

First, measure up how much resin and hardener, to work this out follow the instructions on the packaging. We are using Entropy Resins clear casting resin and hardener, perfect for this task!

Once we have mixed the resin and hardener, it’s now time to add some colour, we went for green with a dusting of silver glitter! Once you have added your preference of colour and any additional glitter it’s time to get mixing again and you want to mix for a few minutes.

With the mixing done, it’s time to pour the mixed epoxy into the moulds.

Once poured it is now time to leave overnight and then put into the oven the following day, please read the manual to find the right temperature and cure time for your crafting project.

Congratulations your moulds are now set and ready to take out of the moulds and hang up!
