Creating a metal inlay effect

0

Learn how to personalise wooden items! We loved this video by East Coat Fibreglass Supplies showing you a great method for creating a beautiful inlaid metal effect on a timber axe handle, using WEST SYSTEM epoxy resin and bronze and copper metal powders.

It is important to note however that the video does mention a mixing ratio of 5:2 which is actually incorrect. The correct mix ratio for WEST SYSTEM 105 resin® with 205 Fast Hardener® is 5:1.  That’s 5 parts resin to 1 part hardener by weight or volume.

This is a lovely way to uniquely customise items – well worth a watch. To watch the full video just follow this link.
